Anne-Marie Sandler, 1998

Anne-Marie Sandler is an analyst in private practice and a training analyst in adult, adolescent and child analysis at the British Psychoanalytic Society. Until 1997 she was the Director of the Anna Freud Centre. She is also a former President of the British Psychoanalytical Society and of the European Psychoanalytic Federation as well as Vice-President of the International Psychoanalytical Association.

She has written a number of articles, alone and with her late husband, Prof. Joseph Sandler (a Sigourney Award Recipient in 1995). She has also lectured on psychoanalysis and child development. In their 1998 book Internal Objects Revisited, the Sandlers created a virtual textbook of contemporary psychoanalytic theory.
