Sara Zac de Filc, 2002

Sara Zac de Filc received an MS in Psychology from Bank Street College of New York in 1955 and her M.D., with honors, from Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1972. She has held many teaching positions and is Full Professor of Seminars, Institute for Psychoanalytic Training of the Psychoanalytic Association of Buenos Aires. She has taught a variety of courses on child and adolescent psychology.

She has written extensively, including conference papers, articles in professional journals, and book chapters, including several relating to the mental health of children and adolescents. She was co-editor of the book Challenges of Psychoanalysis in the 21st Century (2001), and co-editor of the book Desafios al Psicoanalisis en el siglo XXI: Salud Mental Sexualidad y Realidad Social (2002).

She has held many organizational positions including. Chair of the Education Committee of the International Psychoanalytic Association.
